INTRODUCTION

💖WELCOME TO E-PORTFOLIO SSI 3013 BLOG💖

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone😃 

This blog is created for the course, Information in Communication and Technology in Science (SSI3013). This blog is actually discusses about the importance and benefit of ICT applications in Science education. There are several topic that covered in these courses are interactive technology such as Smart School, data logger, simulation, graphic designing, video editing and web technologies like making a blog. 

Actually, I would like to explain a litte bit about the assignments that have been given in this courses:

1) Smart School

Smart School is a learning instituition that has been systematically integrated with ICT in terms of teaching - learning practices and school management in order to prepare children for the information age. Implementation of smart school is not something easy because there are many challenges that come from many aspects such as from the students, teachers and costs. However, the challenges can be solved, if the government and teachers make a drastic move to overcome it. Lastly, smart school provide many advantages to students in order to learn something related with ICT.

2) Data Logger

Data logger is an equipment that capture data over a given period of time and it is contain built-in sensors. The sensor can be programmed in the computer to capture different amount of external information. The results from data logger is more accurate than hands-on experiment because it is automatically capture the real results and information which means it can reduce the risk of human error and missed reading. In this assignment, we do have chance to choose any topic regarding data logger and all the finding were put into a report. Eventhough, the data logger give many advantages but, it also have some disadvantages in using it. 

3) Simulation

Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real - world process or system over time. This assignment required us to use Stella simulation to stimulate an experiment. We choose topic on Lactase Enzyme Activity to be stimulated by the simulation. Simulation gives many benefits in the learning process especially in deep learning. Moreover, simulation can actually help students to learn and understand faster about some topic with the help of visuals provided in the simulation

4) Graphic Design 

Graphic design is individual assignment in which this assignment required me to design a header for this blog and edit it by using adobe photoshop. These header can be design by taking three pictures of nature near my place. The picture must have connection with each other means two different elements that have connection with the backgroud of nature, so that it will be look good and nice. 

5) Video Editing

This assignment is individual task in which, it required me to create 30 seconds video about my home area and after thingking for a while, I decided to make a video about 'Interesting places in Mersing, Johor'. I need to take minimum five different short videos with different angle using my smartphone and it will be compiled to be a video with duration of 30 seconds. In the video, there are several things that need to be include in it which is main title for the whole video, title for every single place, transition for each video and credit at the end of the video.
